I had the opportunity to get to know Andy Shen through his work with the BC Pharmacy Association, where he represented and advocated for pharmacists across British Columbia.
In my experience, Andy was always professional, approachable, and genuinely committed to understanding the needs and concerns of pharmacists. He was excellent at his job and worked hard to ensure that the voices of pharmacy professionals were heard and effectively represented.
Andy was also involved during some significant changes in pharmacy practice, including the rollout of minor ailment prescribing and major vaccination campaigns. Throughout these initiatives, he demonstrated an ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and help navigate complex issues while keeping the needs of pharmacists and their patients in mind.
My experience working with Andy showed me that he is thoughtful, hardworking, responsive, and committed to the people he represents.
