for Langley Township Council
Back to Basics for a Safer, More Livable Langley
About Andy Shen
Andy is a community leader, public affairs professional and advocate for clear, accountable public service. For more than 14 years he has worked at the intersection of government, health care and public policy, including at the Parliament of Canada and the BC Pharmacy Association, where he advocated for and implemented minor ailment prescribing — letting patients go straight to their pharmacist for common ailments and health needs like UTIs, pink eye and contraceptives, driving efficiency and saving provincial health care dollars.
He lives in Willoughby with his wife, who works at Langley Memorial Hospital, and their two sons — and he’s running as an independent to keep Langley a quiet, safe place to raise a family.

Langley is growing fast — faster than we’ve invested to keep up. It’s time to go back to basics.
Fix the gridlock
Ten minutes just to get off Highway 1. Real investment in roads before growth happens, not after.
Parks, trails & amenities
Almost 100,000 residents in Willoughby, Walnut Grove and Fort Langley share one pool. That has to change.
Keep taxes in check
Careful, transparent budgeting — taxes shouldn’t climb every year.
Back small business
Support local businesses and tourism across Langley.
Safe streets
Crime is rising. It’s time to invest in police and fire so safety keeps pace with growth.
Open government
No party line, no caucus whip — just answering to you.
Ready for SkyTrain
SkyTrain is coming. Let’s plan for it now, not scramble later.
Families & youth
More accessible childcare, rec programs and spaces for Langley families.
